They opened in 1989 and have since become <strong>a temple of classic French food<\/strong>. Every year, nearly 400,000 people travel to the small Roman town of Narbonne to have lunch or dinner there: 600 for lunch and 600 for dinner, 365 days a year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cuisine is<strong> inspired by the cuisine by Auguste Escoffier<\/strong>, a 19th century chef considered to be the godfather of traditional French gastronomy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are many reasons for visiting Narbonne and discovering its rich history&#8230;but whenever I post a photo of the magnificent cathedral on Instagram, a friend responds saying, \u201cis that not where that amazing French buffet is?
