When is the restaurant open and what are the opening hours?

  • When does service close?

The restaurant is open every day of the year from 12 p.m. to 2.15 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and at weekends, holiday periods, and public holidays from 11.30 a.m. to 2.15 p.m., and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • How long can you stay at your table?

The restaurant closes at 4 p.m. At weekends, during school summer holidays and public holidays it closes at 4.15 pm at lunchtime and at midnight in the evenings. You can enjoy your meals without having to leave the table unless there are previously agreed specific sale conditions.

Our service staff will inform you when the buffet has closed if you are still there at the end of the lunchtime /evening service.

How do I get to Les Grands Buffets?

The restaurant is in Narbonne, off the Liberté roundabout, at the Loisirs center Espace de Liberté.

You can reach it from the A9 motorway: take exit 38 "Narbonne Sud", and after the toll take a right turn in direction "Centre Ville". Then at the third roundabout take the 2nd exit on the right "Les Grands Buffets".

By train: from Spain with RENFE SNCF (5h30 from Madrid, 1h50 from Barcelona, 1h from Figueres), in France travelling by the Intercité et SNCF
The SNCF Narbonne station is 30 minutes on foot from Les Grands Buffets restaurant, 15 minutes by bus, and 10 minutes by taxi or mini cab.

How can I book a table at Les Grands Buffets?

Tables can be booked exclusively online, from 1 day up to 1 year in advance!

Book on our website, in just a few clicks, using our booking form and choose your date from one day to up to one year in advance.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail a few minutes later.

Why do I need a credit card?

Because sometimes people book and fail to turn up, we need your credit card number in order to validate the reservation.

Please be advised that no money will be debited from the card if you do honour your reservation or if you cancel by letting us know in advance.

You will only be charged if you fail to turn up without informing us beforehand, up to two hours prior to your reservation.

I did not receive a confirmation e-mail, what should I do?

First, have a look and check that our confirmation e-mail was not sent automatically to your spam.

If it is not there, and you have not received a reservation confirmation, within 3 hours following booking, contact our booking service directly by calling 04 68 42 20 01, press 4 and leave your message on the answering service. Your request will be handled as soon as possible.

I would like to add/remove people from my reservation, what should I do?

For any changes to your reservation, you can call directly on 04 68 42 20 01 - click 4 and leave your message indicating the required changes on the answering service.

Your request will be handled at the earliest opportunity and a hostess will call you back to confirm whether your request is acceptable.

 

If I want to let you know that I will be late for my reservation, what should I do?

In order to ensure that your visit is properly organised, we would be grateful if you would let us know if you are running late by calling 04 68 42 20 01, pressing 2 and leaving a message to this effect on the answering service.

Your request will be handled at the earliest opportunity and a hostess will call you back to confirm whether your request is acceptable.

 

 

I want to cancel my reservation, what should I do?

You can cancel your reservation up to 2 hours prior to the selected date and time at no charge.

You can cancel your reservation by clicking on "cancel my reservation" in the confirmation e-mail you received, or by calling 04 68 42 20 01, press 3 and cancel your reservation.

How much is the all-you-can-eat buffet?

The price of the "all-you-can-eat" buffet is at 35,90€* for adults, excluding drinks. The bottles of wine served at the tables are charged at winemaker's price.

The buffet is free for children aged 0 to 5 years based on a paying adult, and €17.90* for children aged 6 to 10 years.

How can I buy gift vouchers?

We have several different types of gift voucher.

To purchase gift vouchers, please send your request via e-mail to bon.cadeau@lesgrandsbuffets.com and include your phone number and your postal address.

To use your gift voucher, please book online on our website from one day to up to one year in advance. Your reservation will require a credit card number and you will pay on the day with your gift voucher.

How do I pay?

Payment at Les Grands Buffets restaurant can be made with:

American Express cards and bank cheques will not be accepted.

Does the restaurant have disability access?

There is an access ramp from the car park for persons with reduced mobility and a lift in the entrance hall of Espace de Liberté that takes you straight to the restaurant.

Do you cater for birthday parties?

For birthday celebrations, a surprise will be brought to your table to musical accompaniment, with candles according to the person's age if you indicate this when making your reservation.

Are animals allowed in the restaurant?

We do not allow animals in the restaurant or the gardens. Because of the way the food is presented in buffet format, regulation prevents us from allowing their presence.

What about the wine list?

All the bottles served at table or to take away are charged at cost price direct from the producer.

All 70 crus indicated on the wine list can be ordered by glass or bottle.

What happens if you leave without paying for the wine!?  The bottle you drink at the table is offered free if you purchase a box of 6 bottles.

How many dining rooms are available?

We can offer you several rooms:

La Clape : situated indoors, close to the entrées buffet, the Clape dining room has a glassed-enclosed, soundproof play area for children. There are also two private dining areas with capacity for 10 and 20 persons, just ask for them when booking.

Les Corbières : situated indoors close to the rotisserie where you can admire our unique collection of 18th century silverware.

Le jardin fleuri : situated outside, beneath the restaurant’s blossom-filled pergolas, by day you can enjoy the flowers and plants and, when the sun goes down, you can admire the brilliantly lit fountain and its works of art.

You can book Les Salles à manger privées rooms at no extra cost, simply mention that you would like one when making your reservation online or by telephone.

Are there any special facilities for children?

We have high chairs for young children. In order to ensure that you have enough room at your table, children in high chairs are counted as adult diners.

A glassed-enclosed, soundproof play area is available for children in the Clape dining room.

There are two special offers for children.

For children under 5 years* the menu is free!
For children aged 6 to 10 years, the menu is half price, that is €17.90!
(*) accompanied by an adult who has ordered a meal
In order to obtain the free or reduced price menu, proof of identity should be provided for children up to the age of 10 years.

 

Do you offer gluten-free or vegetarian dishes?

Les Grands Buffets restaurant offers over 300 dishes, which include raw or cooked gluten-free products or products suitable for vegetarians.

For more information, we advise you to ask our buffet and kitchen staff for further details and they can assist you in making your choices.

What happens if the weather is bad?

All reservations for the outside garden areas can be cancelled in the event of bad weather and can be transferred to indoor dining rooms depending on availability.
